The Godfathers were an unusual group in the eighties, with a stripped down approach to rock that never brought them their just reward. Afterlife was their final album in 1995 (although they've now reformed, so hopefully there'll be more to come) and was released on their own Intercord label.
In 1986, after disbanding Orange Juice, Edwyn Collins recorded two singles for Elevation Records. They were later released along with attendant B-Sides on a Japan only CD Elevation Days. Extremely hard to get hold of, Elevation Days is presented here for your enjoyment.
After leaving The Skids, Richard Jobson set up The Armoury Show whose only album was this one. Seldom in print nowadays Waiting For The Floods is a bit of an 80s forgotten gem.
